PU-ERH TEA AND WEIGHT LOSS
Just like green tea, black tea, and oolong tea, pu-erh tea is made from the stems and leaves of the plant camellia Sinensis. Even though they all come from the same source, they are all made using different processes. The black tea is fully fermented, green tea is not fermented, and oolong tea is partially fermented while the Pu-Erh tea is post-fermented.
What this means is that the processing of the Pu-Erh tea does not end in the fermentation process. After fermentation, it is then left in storage for a long period of time under high humidity. This post fermentation process is referred to as “aging”.
